Thirty North

Founding Story and Editorial Commitment

We started Thirty North after getting tired of reading health articles written by nobody in particular, full of vague claims and no named sources. It felt like most of what was out there for men our age was either scare-mongering or copy-pasted from somewhere else entirely.

So we built the opposite: writers with real backgrounds, a second editor on every draft, and claims checked against published public guidance before anything goes live. Every article carries a byline you can actually look up.

We keep the whole operation transparent, funded by clearly labelled advertising and disclosed partnerships, never by pretending a sponsored piece is independent advice. If we get something wrong, we correct it publicly and keep a record of the change.

Transparency

We name our writers and link our sources, so you can check our work yourself. Nothing is published anonymously.

Plain Language

We write the way we'd explain something to a mate, not the way a leaflet reads. If a sentence needs a dictionary, we rewrite it.

Accountability

When we get something wrong, we say so and fix it. Our correction log is part of how we build trust over time.

We started this journal because most health writing aimed at men over thirty felt either alarmist or written by nobody in particular. We check our facts, name our writers, and take the time to get things right before a single word goes live.
